Penguins+Pajamas Sleepover

Thank you for your interest in bringing a group of 10 or more for a Penguins+Pajamas Sleepover at the California Academy of Sciences.

Please fill out the Group Booking Information below. Please read the booking terms, included below, before submitting your reservation request. By submitting your request, you agree to the Payment Terms and Conditions. If you are a Scout group, please include the group's number in your group name (i.e. Boy Scout Pack 300, Cub Scout Den 101, Girl Scout Troop 500).

The Academy will not share your information with any outside party.

Pricing:

  • Discounted rate of $89.00 per person for groups of 10 or more

Sleepover includes:

  • An overnight stay in one of our exhibit areas
  • Access to the Rainforests of the World exhibit
  • Science themed programming
  • Two Planetarium Showings
  • Late night Story Time
  • Late night snack and early morning breakfast next day
  • Overnight parking in the Music Concourse parking garage
  • Next day general admission included

Penguins+ Pajamas: Payment Terms & Conditions for Group Participants
PAYMENT:

  • Groups of 10 or more guests must provide a minimum 50% non-refundable deposit of the total balance at the time of booking. Bookings are confirmed once the deposit is received.
  • The remaining 50% balance is due 30 days prior to the event date.
  • For bookings made within 30 days of the event, full payment is required at the time of booking.
  • An increase in participant count is subject to availability and payment is due at the time of request.
  • Payment instructions will be included in your reservation invoice. Due to PCI Compliance regulations, we do not accept credit card information via fax or email. Check payments will be accepted, but a booking will not be confirmed until the check is received. For check payments, please make the check payable to California Academy of Sciences and mail to:

CANCELLATION TERMS:

  • 30 days prior to the event you must provide final participant numbers.
  • Groups cancelling 30 days or more prior to the event will receive a full refund minus the non-refundable deposit.
  • No refunds for groups cancelling within 30 days of the event.
  • No refunds given for reducing the number of group participants within 30 days of event date.
  • No refunds or credit will be provided for groups arriving on the date of event with fewer participants than original booking.
  • Any refunds will be processed in the same form as the original payment.

BOOKING DETAILS:

  • Each adult and each child must provide a signed Waiver of Liability at event check-in to participate in the sleepover. The child’s Waiver must be signed by the parent or legal guardian. Originals Waivers only; copies or faxes will not be accepted.
  • Children between the ages of 5-17 must be accompanied by an adult parent, guardian, or chaperone that is 25 years or older. Adults are not allowed to attend event without children.
  • Guests between 18-24 years old may not serve as chaperones, but must be part of a group with children. Similarly, no unaccompanied minors may participate in the sleepover.
  • For the safety, security, and comfort of all guests, adult chaperones must remain with, and actively monitor their group, throughout the evening, and while sleeping in a ratio of 1 adult to every 5 children (1:5).
  • Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable to other dates.
  • Group Attendee List- All groups attending sleepovers must fill out and email in their Group attendee lists to Specialty Tours SpecialtyTours@calacademy.org 7 days prior to the event in order for your group to enter the sleepover event. Your confirmation email will have an attached excel spreadsheet to be filled out. Please follow the spreadsheet format.
  • Once your completed group booking form has been processed you will receive a confirmation email and letter with an order number, group attendee list, waiver of liability, order details, and payment/deposit confirmation.
